Supervision
is a concept originally conceived in a pedagogical and therapeutic context. But the term is now used in other contexts as well. If often describes the regular, supervised reflection upon professional duties, which may extend over a long period and which is conducted regardless whether or not you are facing challenging problems at the time. Supervision may be a sensible support option if you, for example:
- are working abroad and desire regular guidance
- work for an aid organization, where your experiences on the job make regular communication necessary
- wish to monitor and strengthen your own resources in challenging professional contexts
- like the idea of someone lending a sympathetic ear on a regular basis, no matter where you live, while the frequency of such exchanges can be scheduled freely or is aligned with your employer's requirements.
